Carey Park - Field Dedication - Saturday May 5th 2007
Follow some of the progress and planning for the new Carey Park. Here is where it all got started. From early design concepts and theory to actual physical work, The "Crow's" crack alumni went to work to bring the plans to completion. Many tubes of Icy Hot were emptied, there were far too many late night planning meetings and record amounts of phone calls. But in the end, we have a ball field to be proud of and new park in town.
COUNTDOWN TO CAREY PARK

Saturday April 7th, 8:00 AM

The 1st Diamond Club Work Day at the future Carey was a great success. Great participation from alumni and our friends from The Commonwealth. Special thanks to John Pasquale, Steve DiCicco and Steve Palazzola for their volunteer contibutions of time and expertise. Without them we would not have been able to accomplish so much. Review Work Day 1

Saturday April 28th, 8:00 AM

Because of the recent weather, the next Diamond Club Work Day is scheduled for the 28th. Only one week before the D-Day and give us time to finish other items which have been delayed by the rains. We will be prepping for new grass areas and cutting in new sod area. There will be finishing up on areas around the shed, and leveling. Work Day 2

You may not know: In 1974, Frank's Hornet team won the Division I (and II) State Title. The first and last time the divisions were combined to crown one state champion. The townspeople of NR honored the team with fundraising efforts to sponsor a "cultural trip" to Montreal. The players said thanks in '74 via the Transcript, (on right) today we say thank you on the web. Thanks for helping us support NR baseball and dedicate the towns newest park the way it should.

Donations with a Brick

The initial brick drive was a great success. Thanks to all.
Bricks ordered before March 6th 2007 should be back and installed before the May 5th dedication.

But, You can still order your personal engraved bricks at any time. They will be placed in the walk as they are returned from the engraver. This is a perpetual way of supporting improvements and maintenance to Carey Park. The goal is to someday have the walk extend from the entrance all the way to the home bleachers.

See the donation page for more info.

thankyou
